Technology today is within all of our reach through mobile phones, tablets and other devices. In addition to being safe in our physical world, we also need to be concerned about cyber safety or digital safety.
AISD's Technology Policies and Procedures
AISD has several policies in place regarding the use of technology in the district--Board Policies , , and .
All staff sign the Responsible Use Policy (RUP) at the beginning of the year, with which they promise to adhere to AISD's rules on appropriate use of technology. Because the safety of your student comes first, the AISD Technology Department is not only training all staff on Cyber Safety Awareness and Response, but your student will also receive a lesson. Along with other topics, Cyberbullying and Predators will be addressed.
You and your family can also be proactive by talking to each other about these topics. We have provided some helpful information and resources for students.
Digital Citizenship
The term digital citizenship implies that just as we are expected to be good citizens in the real world, we need to adhere to certain unwritten rules online. We need to recognize right from wrong and treat others with respect. Cyberbullying is addressed in several ways in AISD classrooms.
Cyber Safety
Cyber Safety is the practice of safe and responsible use on the internet and online. It is one of our primary concerns as we integrate technology in SA国际传媒 ISD classrooms. It covers things such as not talking to strangers on the internet, not opening emails from people you don't know and not sharing personal information. Submitting any personal information online is subject to an undesirable invasion of privacy. With the explosion of Social Media, communication rules have changed. Cyberbullying or online bullying is a concern. It is important for our kids to understand how to behave appropriately online, what type of information to share online, and how to keep themselves and others safe online. Staff are trained to be aware and respond to any suspicious behavior that might be an indication of bullying.

Facebook, X (formerly known as Twitter) and Instagram are just a few social media applications that today's students frequently use. Student access to these services are blocked on the AISD network. Teachers have full access to all social media. AISD is consistently considering ways social media can be used as instructional tools.

Todo el personal firma las Normas de uso responsable (RUP, por sus siglas en ingl茅s) al principio del a帽o, en la cual promete acatar las reglas del AISD sobre el uso apropiado de la tecnolog铆a. Como la seguridad de su ni帽o es lo primero, el Departamento de Tecnolog铆a del AISD no solo est谩 capacitando a todo el personal en conciencia y respuestas de seguridad cibern茅tica, sino que su ni帽o tambi茅n tendr谩 una lecci贸n sobre eso. Junto con otros temas, se abordar谩n el ciberacoso y los predadores.

La seguridad cibern茅tica es la pr谩ctica del uso seguro y responsable del internet y los recursos en l铆nea. Enviar cualquier informaci贸n personal en l铆nea est谩 sujeto a una invasi贸n indeseable de la privacidad. Con la explosi贸n de los medios sociales, las reglas de comunicaci贸n han cambiado. El ciberacoso o acoso en l铆nea es un problema. Es importante que nuestros ni帽os entiendan c贸mo comportarse apropiadamente en l铆nea, qu茅 tipo de informaci贸n compartir en l铆nea y c贸mo mantenerse a s铆 mismos y a los dem谩s seguros en l铆nea. El personal est谩 capacitado para estar consciente y responder a cualquier comportamiento sospechoso que pueda ser un indicio de acoso.
