SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ ISD Superintendent Stephanie Elizalde will welcome back students, families and staff during campus visits on the first day of school.
What: Media will have the opportunity to follow Elizalde as she begins the year visiting campuses. Elizalde will be available at Sanchez Elementary SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ for interviews.

Tuesday, Aug. 17
7:30-8 a.m: Sanchez Elementary SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½, 73 San Marcos Street
- Superintendent Elizalde will welcome students and families during drop-off. Elizalde will also tour the campus, visit multiple classrooms and greet teachers. Elizalde will be available to address the media following the campus tour.
9:15–9:45 a.m: Eastside Early College High SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ and International High SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½, 714 Thompson Street
- Superintendent Elizalde will visit the brand new Eastside ECHS and International HS at the original L.C. Anderson location to congratulate the Texas Association of SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ Administrators’ Region 13 Secondary Teacher of the Year and Finalist for Texas Teacher of the Year, Dr. Sanford Jeames.
