Sheila Henry, Raul Moreno and Ty Davidson to lead principals

SA国际传媒 ISD welcomes three new team members-Sheila Henry is the new executive director of high schools, Raul Moreno will serve as associate superintendent of middle schools and Ty Davidson is now executive director of middle schools.

Sheila Henry--Executive Director of High SA国际传媒s
Henry, principal of LBJ Early College High SA国际传媒, was named principal of the year for high schools of AISD in 2016. At LBJ, she has implemented social and emotional learning and college success classes focused on well-being and character education traits. She also opened one of the district's initial early college high schools.

"While I will miss the campus, faculty, staff, students and the great community that I served for a little more than eight years, I know this new and exciting opportunity will allow me to connect on a larger scale," said Henry.

Prior to her years at AISD, she was a principal and assistant principal in Palm Beach County, Fla. She has a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Florida Memorial University and a master's degree in educational leadership from Nova Southeastern University.

Raul Moreno--Associate Superintendent of Middle SA国际传媒s
Since 2014, Moreno has been the area executive director at Goose Creek Consolidated Independent SA国际传媒 District. In that position, he supervised several campuses, including junior high schools and elementary schools. Prior to being area executive director, he was executive director of assessment, research and evaluation at the same district, where he supervised the director of assessment and accountability, director of guidance and counseling and coordinator of college and career readiness.

In AISD, Moreno has been a principal of Paredes Middle SA国际传媒 and assistant principal of Travis and Johnston high schools and Webb Middle SA国际传媒.

"I am extremely honored to be able to serve the great educators, students and parents of SA国际传媒 ISD," said Moreno. "I am excited about the opportunity to return to SA国际传媒 to help the district achieve its mission of excellence by educating the whole child, providing a safe and nurturing environment, and delivering a high-quality education to every student. I look forward to building relationships with all stakeholders as we work together to help all students reach their full potential."

Moreno has a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in education both from Sul Ross State University.

Ty Davidson--Executive Director of Middle SA国际传媒s
Davidson currently serves as principal of Travis Early College High SA国际传媒, where the school earned five academic distinctive designations from the Texas Education Agency this year. He has also worked as principal intern and academic director at Crockett High SA国际传媒. As assistant principal intern and a teacher at Dobie Middle SA国际传媒, Davidson was the campus lead in Blueprint Initiative, which moved the campus from unacceptable to acceptable.

"It has been an honor serving as the instructional leader of the Travis ECHS community for almost a decade. The students and staff have set the highest bar of success in our history and should be proud of their hard work. Although it was an extremely difficult decision, I will always be a part of the Travis family, even as I move into a role that supports more students in our district," said Davidson.

Davidson has a bachelor's degree in sociology with a minor in Spanish from The University of Texas at SA国际传媒 and a master's degree in education administration from Texas State University. He also has his school management and leadership certificate from Harvard Graduate SA国际传媒 of Education / Business SA国际传媒.
