Statement by Superintendent Paul Cruz

"I thank Trustee Saldaña for his service and commitment to the students and families in the SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ Independent SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ District.

Trustee Saldaña approached his position with passion and enthusiasm and with the perspective as a parent and a life-long SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ite. His efforts included leading the charge to establish a Historically Underutilized Business program and advocating for high academic achievement and equity for all students.

I wish him well and respect his decision to spend more time with his wife and his four sons."
