LBJ and Reagan early college high schools, Sadler Means Young Women鈥檚 and Garcia Young Men鈥檚 leadership academies competed in a business and logistics competition April 23.
Teams of students from each school ran their school鈥檚 model company through two grocery store supply chain simulation sessions. In the simulations, students collaborated and worked through disruptive events as planners, buyers, suppliers and inventory control analysts.
The judging panel for the competition was made up of representatives from the University of Texas at SA国际传媒, Huston-Tillotson University, Dell and Tata Consultancy.
The top winners earned cash prizes for their schools.
Winners:
High SA国际传媒 Division
LBJ Early College High SA国际传媒 won the overall competition and will travel to Chicago July 18-22 to compete at the SCtech Show.
Reagan Early College High SA国际传媒 won both second and third prizes and will recieve $1,000.
Middle SA国际传媒 Division
Bertha Sadler Means Young Women's Leadership Academy won the overall competition, along with second and third prizes. The school will receive $2,300.
