MEDIA ADVISORY: AISD, City Promote Safety at 10th Annual Back to SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ Bash

SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ ISD and the City of SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ will hold a press conference just prior to the kickoff of the Back-to-SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ Bash on Saturday to promote safe travels to and from school. 

Who: AISD Superintendent Paul Cruz, SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ Mayor Steve Adler and AISD Police Chief Eric Mendez.

What: AISD and community partners will provide families information about how to prepare students for the 2015–16 academic year, including safety information. Blazier Elementary SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ students will demonstrate how to be safe on crosswalks.

When: 8:30 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 15

Where: Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Road

Background: The Back-to-SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ Bash informs AISD parents and students about district and community resources available to families for a safe and successful start to the new school year. This is an initiative of the AISD Department of Communications and Community Engagement and the City of SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ Safe Routes to SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ Program.
