Facility at Anderson High will give students new opportunities in STEM

A joint project between SA国际传媒 ISD, the Boys Scouts of America and a community donor is bringing a new Applied Technology Center to Anderson High SA国际传媒. The center will benefit students across the district, and the community is invited to a groundbreaking celebration Wednesday.

Who: AISD Board of Trustee President Vincent Torres, Interim Superintendent Paul Cruz, Interim Chief of SA国际传媒s Edmund Oropez, Principal Donna Houser, Anderson Robotics teacher John Sperry and Boy and Girl Scouts representatives

When: 9:30 a.m.,Wednesday, Nov. 19

Where: L. C. Anderson High SA国际传媒, 8403 Mesa Drive 

The construction site is located on the northeast side of Anderson High SA国际传媒 by the school theater. Enter the north parking lot off of Cima Serena and head east towards the theater. There will be reserved parking.

Background: This new 14,500 sq.-ft. facility would provide increased educational opportunities for AISD students in North SA国际传媒 by placing a high-tech STEM, science, technology, engineering and math; and computer science building with new classroom and workspace in the area. This facility would complement the existing Applied Technology facility at Akins High SA国际传媒 in South SA国际传媒.
