Fulmore Middle SA国际传媒 was recently crowned 鈥淏est Old SA国际传媒 South of the River,鈥 by the SA国际传媒 Chronicle鈥檚 Best of SA国际传媒 2011. The Fulmore Falcons also just celebrated their 125th Anniversary in September, which prompted many to take notice.
Situated on historic Congress Avenue, Fulmore Middle SA国际传媒 has well over a century of history delivering quality education to the children of SA国际传媒. In 1886, Fulmore was a one-room, white frame school house with a bell tower and a few eager students. Now in the 21st Century, Fulmore has about 1000 students and a national reputation for excellence.
The campus is also the home of the new Humanities and Law Magnet for International Studies. Among the school's alumni are John Henry Faulk, the defender of the First Amendment, for whom the downtown public library is named. Former governor Ann Richards taught at Fulmore, as did the 1997-1998 Texas Teacher of the Year, Joe Farley, and Mayor Lee Leffingwell. Fulmore is known for its many excellent programs as well as the rigor of its academic classes.
